The original version of Gamma was a study in two parts. One half was finely crafted from an impeccable piece of Maple, luckily rescued at the eleventh hour from a jumble of firewood in

Bentleigh, Victoria. While the other half was shaped from a piece of unassuming Beech, abandoned in the dust and spiderwebs of a Melbourne shed, but which soon revealed its unrivalled

beauty from the very first cut.
