Who designs ebony artPlay’s products?

All ebony artPlay products are designed from start to finish, taking in feedback from trusted sources and mentors, by me: Ebony. Each product is built as a prototype and thoroughly tested by me, before anything is put into production.

Where do you get your wood from?

I work with suppliers from around Australia, as well as hand-salvaging pieces myself in Melbourne and surrounding areas, to bring you the most unique and beautiful woods available to me; each with a story to tell.

My ebony artPlay piece has a knot in it. Is this a defect?

Wood is a beautiful, natural resource, with each piece bearing the hallmarks of a life lived.
I do not consider knots, grain, variations in colour, texture or other naturally occurring features to be defects, rather a reminder that your piece was once a living organism, as unique as it is beautiful.

Do you do custom orders?

Due to the boutique nature of my production, I would need to discuss the viability of the order with you, depending on the availability of wood, as well as other factors, such as timing etc.
